Howden UAE welcomes Sajith Kumar as CEO

In October 2018, Howden UAE welcomed Sajith Kumar as CEO. Regional CEO of TMEA Atinc Yilmaz provided the following update  

I am very excited to welcome Sajith Kumar as CEO, Howden UAE as we begin the next phase of TMEA’s growth.

Please join me in congratulating Sajith on his new role and welcoming him to our team. As David Howden says, having the right people in the right roles is crucial to our ongoing success. Sajith will join our regional senior leadership team where we develop our strategy and direction for the region and I am confident that he brings very relevant experience to help drive our performance going forward.

As you know, the last year has been transformative for the TMEA region. As well as the acquisition of ACP, opening our first office in Oman and Tanzania, we formed regional specialty teams, including Financial Lines, Cyber, Construction, Reinsurance and Employee Benefits. We also received licensing for RKH Specialty in DIFC, where Energy and Trade Credit specialty teams are located. Our M&A activity, combined with consistent organic growth, meant that we doubled the size of the region in less than a year, an admirable feat that we are all responsible for: well done. We also now have over 250 employees working in eight offices across the region.

I would like to thank Arvind for his great leadership and contribution in developing Howden’s UAE business. Arvind will retain his role as Chairman, Howden UAE and continue to manage his client relationships. 

With all of your help, I am confident that next year will be as successful as 2018.
